The following positions are available at APS: APS is seeking to hire a Project Manager to provide direct professional supervision and management of surveying projects, including GPS data collection, Topographic Mapping utilizing ground or aerial methods, Detail Surveys for roadway improvement projects and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys. A highly motivated individual who wants a challenging and rewarding career is sought. The successful candidate will report to the Principal-in-Charge and should be qualified to become a registered Professional Land Surveyor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts within one (1) year of appointment. An in-depth knowledge of land and aerial surveys, geodetic survey, including GPS technology and property surveys is required. In addition, the candidate must have significant experience in proposal writing and client liaison. A minimum of five (5) years experience and a BS Degree in an appropriate field of study, or equivalent, is preferred. Send resume to hr@apsboston.com
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the performance of tasks associated with geodetic surveys, topographic and property line surveys, photogrammetric ground control, field calculations, construction layout and documentation and other tasks assigned by the Project Manager or Principal-in-Charge. Field surveys will be conducted using a variety of instrumentation including electronic total stations and GPS receivers. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of data collection and processing software and a strong background in the use of AutoCAD® software. A minimum of three (3) years experience and a BS Degree in an appropriate field of study, or equivalent, is preferred. A minimum of one (1) years experience and a BS Degree in an appropriate field of study, or equivalent, is preferred. The successful candidate will have detailed knowledge of AutoCAD® software and limited experience in processing of field data and have significant experience of drafting from field notes and the development of digital terrain models (DTM) using AutoCAD® software.
